SummaryThe Senior Accountant role applies principles of accounting and statistical analysis in order to maintain control and accountability in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Monitors and maintains control of various general ledger accounts, prepares journal entries and detailed reports, prepares financial statements and analyses reflecting financial status and activities. May assist in training or supervising staff accounting personnel. Ensures timely accurate processing of account reconciliations, billings, disbursement requests and analyses of accounts in this area.
RequiredMinimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Certifications:
CPA, CIA or CMA designation preferred.
Minimum of three years of related experience.
Required:
Ability to apply accounting principles to complex transactions.
Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to articulate complex accounting principles.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
