- Support the Committee & Council Governance team within the Office of the Chief Risk Officer
- Maintain a strong, consistent, and well-controlled governance framework for risk committees and councils
- Design, maintain, and execute effective committee and council governance practices
- Work with committee chairs, members, business partners, and governance stakeholders
- Ensure committees and councils operate in alignment with mandates, escalation pathways, regulatory expectations, and internal governance standards
- Lead development and/or implementation of standards, policies, and processes to identify, report, and mitigate risk exposures
- Analyze potential risks and elevate key risks for executive review with findings and action plans
- Provide ongoing operational risk analysis and reporting and review findings with business leaders
- Coordinate or guide operational risk disciplines and programs, including risk and control self-assessment, business continuity, outsourcing/vendor management, and regulatory compliance
- Support enterprise-wide risk escalation, review and approval processes, data management, policies, and risk assessments
- Direct development and monitoring of Key Risk Indicators and facilitate resolution of risk issues
- Support policies, procedures, practices, research projects, presentations, communications, and remediation plans
- Conduct functional or enterprise-level analysis and recommend program, policy, and process improvements
- Manage relationships across business lines, corporate functions, and oversight functions
- Keep current on emerging issues, trends, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in team development, knowledge transfer, mentoring, and cross-training
- Perform occasional domestic travel and sedentary office-based work
- Undergraduate degree or technical certificate and/or 7+ years relevant experience
- Advanced knowledge of risk management governance, programs, policies, practices, operating frameworks, and reporting
- Knowledge of risk management environment, standards, regulations, and mitigation
- Knowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trends
- Ability to establish goals and objectives supporting the strategic plan
- Ability to lead, plan, implement, and evaluate program/project activities
- Skill in mentoring and coaching
- Advanced skill in analytical software tools, data analysis methods, and reporting techniques
- Skill in using computer applications including MS Office
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently
- Sound judgment in decision-making
- Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong understanding of corporate governance, risk governance, or committee and council operating practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Co-pilot, and governance repositories or tracking tools
- Experience with Microsoft Access, Excel, Power BI, or workflow/reporting tools preferred
Demonstrates advanced knowledge of risk management governance, including the development and implementation of policies and processes to mitigate risk exposures. Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with strong communication skills to support effective governance practices across committees and councils.
