This is a hands-on field leadership role for an Assistant Superintendent who enjoys being at the center of the action. Working closely with the General Superintendent, you’ll help drive day-to-day site operations, coordinate trade partners, and keep projects moving safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This role offers strong exposure to all phases of construction and clear opportunities for advancement.
Key Responsibilities- Support day-to-day supervision of job site activities, crews, and equipment
- Coordinate and sequence work across all trades to maintain schedule and quality
- Help maintain and update construction schedules; identify and resolve field issues
- Promote and enforce job site safety, immediately addressing hazards
- Order materials and coordinate inspections with inspectors and municipalities
- Maintain an organized job site, including the field office, logs, and documentation
- Assist with RFIs, bid packages, and subcontractor coordination
- Work closely with the General Superintendent to set expectations and goals for subcontractors
- Support project closeout, punch lists, inspections, and commissioning activities
- Build strong working relationships with subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and internal teams
- Active, unrestricted Massachusetts CSL
- OSHA-10 required; OSHA-30 preferred
- 1+ year of construction industry experience
- 1+ year of field supervision experience on residential or multifamily projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred
- Strong understanding of residential multifamily construction methods and sequencing
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
- Experience with Buildertrend, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, and mobile field tools preferred
