Westbrook ISD is seeking a passionate and student-centered Elementary Teacher to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year. The ideal candidate will be committed to building strong foundational literacy and math skills while creating a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and challenged to grow.
Westbrook ISD is a small, rural district with strong community support, small class sizes, and a collaborative campus culture. Our staff works closely together to ensure every student is known, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Texas EC–6 Core Subjects teaching certification
- Reading Academy certification preferred
- ESL certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Implement district-adopted Bluebonnet Learning reading and mathematics curriculum
- Deliver instruction aligned with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS)
- Use assessment data to monitor progress and guide instruction
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
- Create a structured, engaging, and positive classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and administration to support student success
- Supportive administration and collaborative teaching staff
- Small class sizes that allow teachers to build strong relationships with students
- Strong community support for schools and student programs
- Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) District, providing opportunities for additional compensation based on teacher effectiveness and student growth
- Westbrook ISD pays $3500 above base
- $529 towards TRS Health Insurance
- Teacher housing, if needed
- Free PK3 for employees, if needed
