Westbrook ISD is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Second Grade Teacher to join our team for the  school year. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping students strengthen foundational literacy and mathematics skills while creating a classroom environment that is engaging, structured, and supportive.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Valid Texas EC–6 Core Subjects teaching certification
• Reading Academy certification preferred
• ESL certification preferred or willingness to obtain

• Implement district-adopted Bluebonnet Learning reading and mathematics curriculum
• Deliver high-quality instruction aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS)
• Utilize assessment data to drive instruction and support student growth
• Build strong foundational skills in reading, writing, and mathematics
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of foundational reading instruction, handwriting development, and early mathematics concepts
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
• Maintain a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student success

• Supportive administration and collaborative teaching staff
