Education Technician III
Canal Elementary School is seeking a flexible, caring and collaborative Education Technician III to join its growing Multilingual Team. Maine DOE Education Technician III certification required. Experience or background working with preschool/early elementary aged children preferred.
About the Position: 35 hrs/week - school year only position
Westbrook's Multilingual Team is a highly skilled and compassionate group of respected educators who truly believe in the academic and social-emotional growth of each learner. Currently, 25% of our total student population in Westbrook is identified as Multilingual Learners (MLs), representing 42 birth countries and 28 different primary languages. In Westbrook, our Multilingual Educational Technician IIIs:
- Develop positive relationships with students and staff
- Support our growing population of identified MLs
- Collaborate with ML staff, general education staff and administrators to ensure students receive equitable educational opportunities within the general education setting
- Provide push-in support within the general education classroom and seek direction from lead teachers in determining additional ways to promote student learning
