Job Objective

To support the AVID Lab's mission of expanding aerospace education by serving as a hands‑on lab facilitator for K–12, university, and industry learner populations. The Lab Facilitator will work alongside K–12 & university faculty, adjunct instructors, and industry partners to deliver equipment‑based learning experiences using professional‑grade aerospace technology, ensuring a safe and effective lab environment for all participants.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma Required.

Credentials: Certificate or coursework in aerospace technology, instructional technology, engineering technology, education, or a closely related field preferred.

  • Familiarity with aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, or engineering technology concepts and equipment
  • Ability to facilitate hands‑on, equipment‑based learning for diverse groups
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively alongside faculty, adjunct instructors, and industry partners in a lab setting
  • Proficiency or willingness to learn professional‑grade aerospace tools including 3D scanning, CAD software, and VR platforms

Experience: Minimum one year of experience in instructional delivery, technical training, or hands‑on lab facilitation in a CTE, STEM, or related industry setting.
