Our client, a leader in the healthcare manufacturing sector, is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Automation Engineer to join their team. As a Sr. Manufacturing Automation Engineer, you will be part of the Infectious Disease Developed Markets Business Unit supporting manufacturing processes, quality initiatives, and engineering projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate innovative thinking, strong problem‑solving skills, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Sr. Manufacturing Automation Engineer

Location: Westbrook, ME

Pay Range: $57

What’s the Job?
  • Support manufacturing processes by implementing engineering principles and ensuring compliance with cGMP quality and safety standards.
  • Lead automation equipment upgrades, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety and efficiency.
  • Design and execute experiments, analyze data, and present findings to cross‑functional teams for process validation and optimization.
  • Create and revise technical documents, SOPs, validation protocols, and risk assessments to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Manage cross‑functional project teams, provide training, and mentor junior engineers and technicians to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
What’s Needed?
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, with 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma principles, DMAIC, and structured problem‑solving methodologies.
  • Experience working within ISO, FDA, or similar regulated environments, including cGMP practices.
  • Strong technical skills in equipment specification, automation, troubleshooting, and process control evaluation.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis software, Microsoft Office Suite, and CAD tools.
