KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting has partnered with a global, growth‑oriented organization in the Portland, ME, area seeking to hire a Senior Financial Analyst. This role will serve as a key business partner to operational leaders, supporting financial planning, reporting, and strategic decision‑making across a high impact business segment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working cross‑functionally, building financial models, and driving insights in a data‑driven, fast‑paced environment.
Candidates must be either local to the Portland, ME, area or in the Greater New England region to be considered. If outside of Portland, you must be willing to relocate or be within a commutable distance as this role will require some in‑office presence each week.
Responsibilities- Partner with finance leaders to provide financial insights, reporting, and decision support
- Support month‑end close activities including reconciliations, variance analysis, and accruals
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, identifying key trends and performance drivers
- Lead budgeting and forecasting efforts, including development of financial projections and scenario modeling
- Build and maintain financial models to support new initiatives, growth strategies, and operational planning
- Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools to enhance visibility into financial and operational performance
- Perform ad‑hoc analysis and present findings to leadership in a clear, actionable manner
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, automate workflows, and enhance data accuracy
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; advanced degree a plus
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or corporate finance
- Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
- Experience working with mid to large ERP systems and reporting tools (Oracle, SAP, Power BI, or similar platforms a plus)
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into business insights
