This full-time, temp-to-hire position is a great fit for someone with solid data entry skills - whether you’ve worked in a bank or credit union, supported a finance team, or recently graduated with a finance or accounting degree and are ready to get started.
In this role, you’ll help process check data, balance figures, and support daily operations for credit union clients. It’s a detail-focused job where your accuracy and communication really matter. You’ll be part of a team that helps things run smoothly behind the scenes, all while building valuable experience in the financial world.
Job Title: Check Processing Specialist (Temp-to-Hire)
Location: Westbrook, ME
Pay: $25/hour
Job Type: Full-time, Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Day Shift)
Work Setting: Onsite to start, hybrid potential after permanent hire
What You’ll Do- Enter numeric and financial data accurately
- Process incoming check files and transactions
- Help balance daily reports and handle exceptions
- Communicate with internal teams as needed
- Strong attention to detail and numeric accuracy
- Experience in banking, finance, or data-heavy roles is a plus
- Ability to work onsite during the temp period (hybrid option after hire)
