Town Manager - Belgrade

Town Manager Job Posting:

The Town of Belgrade, Maine is accepting applications for a qualified and motivated individual to serve as Town Manager.

The Town Manager serves as the chief administrative officer of the Town of Belgrade, overseeing day-to-day municipal operations while implementing policies and performing additional tasks as set by the Select Board.

• Administer daily operations of town government;
• Prepare and manage the annual municipal budget;
• Prepare agendas and supplementary materials for Select Board meetings, attend Select Board and other appropriate meetings;
• Ensure town remains compliant with local, state, and federal regulations;
• Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and officials;
• Oversee municipal contracts, apply for applicable grants, and manage capital improvement projects.

• Five years of experience in municipal government, preferably as Town Manager or an elected Select board member; and/or applicable experience in a related field;
• Knowledge of municipal government functions and budgeting, including experience with non-profit accounting and TRIO software;
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills;
• Ability to work collaboratively with elected officials, staff and volunteers and to interact effectively with the public.

Salary: commensurate with experience
