Summary

The Linen department is an Industrial Healthcare Laundry servicing customers throughout the State of Maine. Responsible for the development and implementation of area standards, policies, procedures, and training programs necessary to ensure high quality of linen services. This includes teaching, training, setting work assignments, assisting in updating and writing all policies and procedures for the department, performance management and payroll management for team members, maintaining inventory control of all linen products, and maintaining high quality standards for all productivity within the department.

Required

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

License/

Certifications:

Must have a valid Driver's license.

Experience:

Three years of experience in a linen, warehouse, or other related production setting.

Analytical abilities necessary to plan and evaluate training programs, policies and procedures; and to oversee and ensure successful operation of areas of responsibility under tight deadlines.

Previous supervisory/leadership experience preferred.

Interpersonal skills necessary to conduct formal orientation and training programs, provide effective leadership to assigned team members, and maintain cooperative working relationships with other departments within the healthcare system including MMC and subsidiaries.

Must be mechanically inclined for minor repair of equipment.

Must have familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
