Clinical Pharmacist – Centralized Refill Program Per Diem
Ideal candidates will be eligible as a registered pharmacist in the State of Maine and New Hampshire. As part of the Centralized Refill Pharmacy team, the clinical pharmacist is responsible for supporting prescription refill renewal authorization for Maine Health Medical Group patients, using established institutional guidelines and embedded protocols. Using evidence-based medicine, the pharmacist will enhance patient outcomes through appropriate medication management and will triage any additional needed information to facilitate the timely process of refill requests for primary care clinic patients.
This position will foster interdisciplinary collaboration with providers, pharmacists and medical assistants to optimize medication therapy. Work experience as a patient care pharmacist involved in patient monitoring and drug therapy review is preferred. Experience in the monitoring and consultation on drug therapy in patients of all age groups. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Analytical skills necessary to identify and resolve problems related to drug therapy.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education:
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD degree from a recognized/accredited school or college of pharmacy required. - License/
Certifications:
Current applicable state(s) license with Board of Pharmacy required. - Experience:
Previous pharmacist experience preferred.

The pay range for this position is $58.85to $79.63 per hour.
Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
