Automation Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and execute formal test plans, procedures, and scenarios for manual and automated testing.
• Review and assess test coverage to ensure thorough quality validation.
• Plan, write, and automate test cases/scripts; execute smoke, functional, and regression testing.
• Document and track test results, defects, and quality metrics.
• Investigate and resolve issues; enter problems into tracking systems and participate in resolution.
• Implement quality standards and best practices; contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Deliver quality process training to technical staff and act as an internal consultant.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective testing prior to implementation.

• 4+ years of automation experience in software testing.
• Hands‑on experience with Cypress and Playwright frameworks.
• SQL expertise (select, insert, update, delete, joins).
• Extensive experience with SOAP & REST APIs using HTTP clients and standalone tools.

• AWS (Lambdas, notifications, parameter store).
• Jenkins or Git Hub Actions for CI/CD.
• Command line proficiency.
• Willingness to execute functional testing as required.

• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and analytical skills.
• Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Initiative, drive, and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
• Professionalism and adaptability in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the role (extensive sitting, phone, and computer use).
