About the Opportunity

Our client, a leader in Software/Diagnostics, is looking for a skilled Software Testing Analyst I to join their team for a 6-month engagement. This project involves ensuring the quality and reliability of their software applications through rigorous manual and automated testing, and the implementation of quality best practices. This is a high-impact role that requires a self‑motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
  • Developing and executing formal plans, procedures, and scenarios for manual and automated testing to ensure quality of software applications.
  • Planning tests, writing test cases/scripts, automating test cases, and executing tests, including smoke, application, functional, and regression testing.
  • Reviewing and assessing test coverage to ensure thorough quality review prior to implementation.
  • Documenting and tracking test results, defects, and other quality metrics, while entering problems into the system and participating in resolution.
  • Developing and implementing quality standards and best practices, and delivering quality process training to technical staff.
Required Skills & Experience

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proficiency with designing and executing test plans to comprehensively and efficiently assure conformance to business and technical specifications.
  • Proficiency with creating and maintaining the test data and environment required for the execution of test plans.
  • Proficiency with documenting and communicating test results and metrics in a timely and effective manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and verbal and written communication skills.

W2 only (No C2C or 1099 contractors)
