Product Manager (AI/ML Data & AI Center of Excellence) Overview
Are you a passionate product leader with a knack for translating complex AI and ML initiatives into actionable deliverables? We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to join our Data and AI Center of Excellence (DAICOE). In this pivotal role, you'll drive the delivery of cutting-edge AI/ML models, acting as the vital link between product priorities and technical execution. If you thrive in dynamic environments, excel at cross-functional collaboration, and have a track record of launching ML models into production, this is your opportunity to make a significant impact.
RequiredSkills
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager for AI/ML or data science products
- Strong understanding of AI/ML workflows, model evaluation, and productionization processes
- Ability to interpret model performance metrics, experiment logs, and pipeline outputs
- Experience crafting detailed, technically specific acceptance criteria for both data science models and ML engineering work
- Skilled in prioritization and trade-off decisions under high technical uncertainty
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams of data scientists and ML engineers
- Strong stakeholder management and expectation setting skills
- Background in data science, machine learning, or quantitative fields
- Familiarity with ML experiment tracking tools and lifecycle management platforms
- Experience with real-time inference, latency-sensitive ML deployment, and model serving infrastructure
- Prior experience with ML platforms such as Databricks or similar cloud-based solutions
- Knowledge of workflow automation and AI enablement strategies
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related discipline;
Master's preferred - 2–3 years of experience leading AI/ML or data science product delivery from inception through monitoring
- Track record of successfully shipping ML models into production at scale
- Location:
Hybrid (Westbrook, ME) – flexibility required for on-site presence as needed - Duration: 6-month engagement, with the possibility of extension
