Job Summary

The Warehouse Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently handling liquid and dry chemical products, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance throughout all warehouse and transfer operations. This hands‑on role involves loading and unloading trucks, tankers, and railcars; operating forklifts and other industrial equipment; repackaging and labeling materials; and maintaining precise inventory records. No two days are the same; you will work with a variety of products, equipment, and processes in a fast‑paced environment where attention to detail truly matters.

Responsibilities
  • Receive/unload and prepare/load liquid and dry chemical products from/to trucks, tankers, and railcars, including:
    • Maneuver and connect/disconnect transfer hoses
    • Climb up tanks, tankers and railcars to open/close top hatches and monitor load
    • Inspect tanks, tankers and railcars before and after loading/unloading operations
    • Verify product against receiving/shipping documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and damages
    • Product sampling and quality control in conjunction with lab personnel
    • Maintain accurate receiving/shipping logs. Record amounts of product received or distributed via appropriate computer program
    • Picking and staging product for delivery in accordance with specifications on customer orders or other instructions
  • Operate powered and manual industrial lift trucks (with certification) to transport product in the warehouse, maintain daily forklift checklist, and:
    • Move raw materials to the production area and move finished products to the warehouse
    • Lift and carry bags, pails, boxes, and pallets varying distances
    • Stage and remove product packaging in complex storage racking within operating areas and warehouses
  • Repackage product into proper containers for storage or shipment, ensuring:
    • Fill cylinders, drums, totes, pails or tankers with product and route to prescribed storage locations with proper labelling, storing, stacking, or palletizing according to company and regulatory requirements
    • Give special attention to packaging, loading and storing of food grade and USP items
    • Operate electronic scale and process devices
    • Carefully store hazardous waste drums in the prescribed area in full compliance with hazardous waste regulations
  • Maintain inventory, which includes:
    • Examine stored product and report deterioration and damage
    • Rearrange stored materials
    • Assist in counting of physical inventory
  • General maintenance:
    • Ensure warehouse is clean, accessible and safe for all visitors and workers
    • When spills occur, responsible for immediate reporting and cleanup
    • Protect property from theft or damage
  • Other duties as assigned, including mixing and blending as required
Qualifications & Experience
  • High school diploma, GED, or US military experience. Candidates with prior experience working with chemical operations (2+ years) may be considered if education or service requirements are not fully met.
  • Possess or be able to pass exam to obtain Forklift Operators certification and demonstrate ability to operate a forklift safely.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and carry out detailed and simple instructions in English and write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to learn and operate technology‑based devices such as smartphones, tablets, computers, PLCs, operational technology equipment, etc. to carry out normal business operations.
  • Meet or exceed production requirements based on information and or equipment used in the course of work performance.
  • Wear safety equipment as prescribed by company.
  • Comply with placarding rules when loading or unloading trucks.

  • Must be available to work any day of the week, any assigned 8–12 hour shift.
