Northern Light Acadia Hospital is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our inpatient care team in a unique role supporting Adult and Pediatric Inpatient Services. This is a full‑time opportunity (32 hours/week) designed for a practitioner who values both collaboration and autonomy within a specialized psychiatric setting.
Schedule:
Friday and Saturday, 4:00 PM – 8:00 AM, on‑site.
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations
- Initiate and manage treatment interventions, including medication management
- Provide follow‑up evaluations as clinically indicated
- Lead and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
- Collaborate closely with Medical Directors, psychiatrists, other PMHNPs, therapists, and behavioral health technicians
- Serve as a clinical resource, mentor, and preceptor for inpatient staff
- Demonstrate strong clinical judgement, leadership, and teaching skills in a fast‑paced environment
