Spring Harbor Hospital is a 100-bed free-standing nonprofit psychiatric hospital located in Westbrook, ME. It is one of two freestanding psychiatric hospitals in the state of Maine and offers services for both children and adults.
The Adolescent unit at Spring Harbor hospital, specializes in the care of children, generally in the 12 to 17-year-old range, in a 14 bed facility. Our multidisciplinary patient care team specializes in the treatment of diagnoses most commonly found in children and adolescents. These include:
- Depression
- Disruptive Behavior Disorders
- Emerging Psychotic Disorders
- Anxiety Disorders
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Substance Use disorders
The MH Registered Nurse - Acute Care role provides high quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes. Collaborates, delegates, and communicates with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal care. MH RN I:
This level represents the beginner in their clinical role. This care team member has less than 12 months experience and is primarily developing the required knowledge and skills to work within their setting. Level I must achieve all performance expectations, by completion of facility and unit orientation, and satisfactorily completing the introductory period.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred. - Licensure/Certification:
Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Other certifications may be required specific to area of practice or in accordance with Department guidelines. - Experience:
New Grad or RN with less than 12 months experience.

The pay range for this position is $35.61.
Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
