Job Summary
The Scientist II is responsible for planning, executing, and analyzing laboratory experiments related to liquid automation, analytical chemistry, and associated technologies. The role supports R&D projects, performs data interpretation, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to advance product development, validation activities, and technical service initiatives.
Responsibilities- Experimental Design and Execution – Plan, execute, document, and analyze laboratory experiments; conduct validations and verifications of liquid handling instrumentation; maintain detailed laboratory documentation.
- Technical Expertise – Demonstrate proficiency with laboratory instruments, automated liquid handling systems, and liquid verification technologies; troubleshoot experimental methods and instrumentation; apply scientific principles in chemistry and automation.
- Project Contributions – Contribute to multidisciplinary R&D projects supporting product development and customer applications; recommend technical approaches; participate in project teams to deliver milestones.
- Training and Mentorship – Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior scientists, interns, and new employees; support knowledge transfer and skill development.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Support partner teams (Production, Manufacturing, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Technical Support, Marketing); contribute to application notes, presentations, and technical documentation.

Hybrid work schedule: on‑site in Westbrook, ME, 4 days per week.
Targeted Salary Range$75,000 – $95,000 per year.
