Our client in Westbrook is hiring a R&D Lab Associate to join their research team supporting innovative products that improve animal health worldwide. This opportunity offers $19.48/hour and is a 6-month temporary assignment with valuable hands‑on experience in a professional laboratory environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to build laboratory experience. Whether you come from a veterinary, healthcare, medical, or science-related background, you'll receive training while learning a variety of laboratory testing techniques, research processes, and data management skills in a collaborative team setting.

• Conduct laboratory testing and analyses on animal specimens, including sample processing and results reporting
• Execute and support instrument test protocols for new and existing products
• Maintain laboratory operations, including scheduling, equipment cleanliness, and general lab upkeep
• Manage inventory, procure supplies, and ensure consistent stocking of lab materials
• Support lab systems, databases, documentation, and accurate recordkeeping with basic data analysis
• Provide administrative support such as medical transcription, shipping preparation, phone coverage, and billing/pricing assistance

• Previous laboratory experience is preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt to the needs of different laboratory teams
• Basic computer skills required, with Microsoft Office experience preferred
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively, with a positive, flexible attitude in fast‑paced team environments
• Candidates with experience as Veterinary Technicians, Medical Lab Technicians, Phlebotomists, healthcare professionals, or individuals seeking to gain laboratory experience are encouraged to apply
