Overview
As a Product Transfer Scientist
, you will join our cross-functional research & development team in New Product Development and On Market Support/ Product Enhancement. As our R&D pipeline continues to grow the need for analytical minds to create and transfer robust processes has increased and we need your help. A successful candidate for this job role will have a background in specification development and transfer as well as project management.
The ability to clearly communicate how specifications and processes were developed to a broad audience is crucial to this role as is a passion for efficiency and collaboration. This is a high-visibility, high-impact, fast-paced position where you may be working on multiple products at once.
Prepare materials, perform experiments, gather data, perform analyses and formulate next steps
Meticulous documentation of experiments and protocols
Drive assigned tasks within larger projects
Work cross-functionally on multi-disciplinary projects
Effectively communicate progress throughout the organization
Design and analyze studies that characterize process development to set meaningful specifications leading to robust process transfer from R&D to operations.
Develop SOPs, training materials, and help conduct trainings for operations and/or end users
Investigate product chemistry, software, or hardware issues with internal teams and/or suppliers
Identify critical process parameters and conduct/direct experiments using appropriate methods to determine acceptable functional outputs tied to product requirements.
A Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, engineering or a related field with 5 years of experience working on product transfer, processes or a related field or a Masters degree in biological sciences, engineering or a related field with 3 years of experience working on product transfer, processes or a related field.
Experience with biological systems is a plus but not required.
A history of creating meaningful and testable process specifications leading to the production of robust manufacturing processes.
A natural passion for mentoring others and helping them succeed.
Strong presentation and communication skills including the ability to explain mathematical gymnastics to a wide audience.
Strong statistical skills and/or knowledge of Six Sigma concepts
Effectively collaborates and communicates with colleagues and others in related areas to provide support, exchange information and create efficient processes.
Strong ability to generate clearly written reports and verbal presentations to technical element teams, technical review boards, Line of Business, Executive Management or one on one.
Salary range starting at $72,000 based on experience
