Job Summary
Program, troubleshoot, configure, commission, and service Fire Alarm Systems and related building system products at customer sites. This includes panel reprogramming, device replacement/repair, low‑voltage circuit troubleshooting, system testing, and networked fire alarm focus.
Responsibilities- Perform programming on fire alarm, security, and access control system panels.
- Respond to customer service calls promptly, troubleshoot and repair as needed.
- Participate in after‑hours service program.
- Communicate with Project Manager on work order status and outstanding customer issues.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/programs, schematics, and operational/product manuals.
- Supervise and inspect installation of equipment to meet customer and contract specifications.
- Complete necessary certification courses on internal and external products used.
- Submit all required documentation (task, activity, productivity) in a timely manner.
- At least five (5) years documented Fire Alarm experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience reading/interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals.
- Proficiency with hand tools, test equipment, multi‑meter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices.
- Capability to perform physical labor, including carrying/moving equipment and tools up to 50–70 lbs, and use of ladders and lifts.
- Flexible work schedule, including weekends, to meet customer requirements.
- High level of customer service, team collaboration, and adherence to safety guidelines and procedures.
- Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and rapid learning ability.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Pass pre‑employment background and drug test.
- Obtain and retain any required licenses under National, State, and Local codes.
- Basic understanding of Network concepts and architectures.
- Preferred:
- Two‑year Associate’s Degree in Electronics, Network, Computer Science, or related field.
- NICET Level II certification or ability to obtain it within the first year.
- OSHA 10 Certified.
- Experience with Access Control, CCTV, and Security Systems.
Hourly rate: $29.00–$40.38 (determined by education, experience, and market data). Competitive benefits package is included.
