What You Will Do
  • Perform assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems.
  • Respond to basic warranty calls.
  • Provide customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service related items.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing solutions and outcomes at the time of service.
How You Will Do It
  • Load system‑level controller software.
  • Perform basic commissioning and system diagnostics from system‑level controllers to end devices (sensors, actuators, etc.) and complete all required commissioning documentation.
  • Keep management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues.
  • Calibrate systems requiring basic electronic test equipment.
  • Complete administrative tasks including but not limited to timesheets, expense reports, and on‑site documentation.
  • Document changes and provide information for as‑built documentation.
  • Communicate with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site.
  • Follow all safety standards and attend required safety training.
  • Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure the facility is running efficiently, including upselling opportunities.
  • Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
What We Look For
  • Vocational School four‑year program or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field plus three years of industry experience (or one year experience servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry).
  • Generally required knowledge: HVAC control systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls ethically and professionally.
  • Ability to explain technical information to technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Leadership skills to support mechanics working on non‑complex, non‑critical Building Automation equipment on a job site.
  • PC experience and ability to program HVAC‑related software.
Compensation & Benefits

Hourly range: $24–31 (rate determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; internal equity and market data). Position includes a competitive benefits package.
