Application Developer Sr

As an Application Developer Sr I, you will design and build software and data solutions that enable advanced medical insights using modern technologies. You will collaborate with a high-performing Scrum team to deliver innovative capabilities that improve pet health outcomes while working with IDEXX’s core clinical data assets.

The Clinical Information Services team develops scalable data, machine learning, and application solutions that drive meaningful insights in veterinary care. You will work alongside software engineers, data engineers, and data scientists to deliver high-quality solutions supporting critical initiatives.

• You will design, build, and manage data pipelines and integrations
• You will contribute to machine learning classification and application development
• You will participate in technical strategy and business planning discussions
• You will innovate across technology, team processes, and development practices
• You will collaborate with Architects, Developers, QA Engineers, Dev Ops, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters across distributed teams
• You will work in a Scrum-based Agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions
• You will mentor and coach junior development and QA team members
• You will continuously learn and apply new technologies

This role is critical to advancing IDEXX’s ability to generate actionable clinical insights that improve animal health globally. Your work will help transform complex clinical data into valuable intelligence, enabling better decision-making for veterinarians and improved outcomes for pets and livestock.

• Proficiency with one or more major cloud providers (AWS preferred)
• Experience with AWS services (API Gateway, AWS Lambda, SQS, S3)
• Proficiency with Git Hub and Git Hub Actions
• Strong programming skills (Java 17 and Python
  3)
• Experience with relational databases (AWS MySQL Aurora)
• Experience with Databricks
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform)
• Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Slack, and MS Teams
• Ability to rapidly learn and adapt
• Strong collaboration and communication skills

• Familiarity with Snowflake
• Familiarity with domain-driven design (DDD)

• Salary: $110000 - $120000 / year
