Deburr Technician

Pay: $28-34/hr

Schedule:

M-F 7:30am - 4:00pm OR 6:00pm - 2:00am

A Deburr Technician job in Bethpage, NY is currently accepting applications. This is a contract-to-hire position with our key manufacturing client. In this role you will be responsible for deburring, smoothing, and inspecting precision machined components to ensure parts meet blueprint specifications and quality standards. To be considered for this role, you will have 1+ years of manufacturing, machining, or deburring experience with the ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Deburr grooved, contoured, and irregular surfaces of machined metal components according to blueprints, layouts, and specifications.
  • Review blueprints, operation sheets, and work instructions to determine proper deburring methods and tools.
  • Inspect finished work pieces using magnifying glass, templates, and precision measuring equipment.
  • Verify part dimensions using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and surface gauges.
  • Smooth and polish work pieces using abrasive materials, hand tools, and power buffers.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections to ensure product quality and conformance.
  • Complete inspection documentation and maintain statistical process control (SPC) records.
  • Perform additional manufacturing duties and support cross-training opportunities as needed.

Job Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of deburring experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and inspection requirements.
  • Experience using precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify surface defects and quality issues.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or precision machining environments is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, oils, and cutting fluids.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
