We have a fantastic opportunity for a Per‑Diem Pharmacy Technician at our Montefiore New Rochelle facility.

The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting the pharmacist in the maintenance of pharmacy drug distribution system, with a focus on quality and accuracy, patient care, and customer service. This includes, but is not limited to packaging and delivering medications, assisting in inventory control, stocking supplies, and verifying stock in order to maintain inventory records. Under supervision of a pharmacist, and consistent with state, federal and local regulations, prepare medication orders for final check by pharmacist.

• Fills and delivers medication carts accurately and timely (40%).
• Manages Pyxis Inventory (20%).
• Ensures medications are delivered to patient care areas in a timely manner (10%).
• Assists in Department's inventory management (10%).
• Performs monthly nursing unit inspections quality assurance and communicates any immediate problems to a supervisor for correction (10%).
• Prepares medications with oversight of pharmacist (10%).
• Interacts with staff members and complete other duties as assigned by pharmacists or supervisor.

• High School Required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician Required.
