It is recommended that substitute teachers visit each of our schools. If you have a grade or department preference, we request that you become acquainted with that specific grade level or department and with its curriculum.
If you are unfamiliar with our community, please find the location of each of the schools as soon as possible so that directions will not be necessary in the morning when you are called to substitute.
Procedure for Substitute Assignments District 92½ utilizes Absence Management, an automated service, for the process of notifying substitutes when services are needed. All substitutes will receive a quick start guide and individual instructions on how to access Absence Management in the beginning of the year or when personnel requirements are complete.
Whenever possible assignments are made in advance (ranging from several days ahead of time to the prior evening). Teachers have until 6:00 a.m. to report their absences; therefore, you may be notified of some assignments early the same morning. If a substitute is needed on an emergency basis during the day, a substitute may be called by a building principal or school secretary.
If you have any questions about Aesop or your assignment, please call Rena Belfiore at .
