Job Title: Technical Project Manager (TPM) Google Cloud Platform

Location: Westchester, IL (Onsite)

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager with strong working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate will lead project delivery, coordinate across onsite/offshore teams, ensure execution of data-related initiatives on Google Cloud Platform, and manage stakeholder communication. This role requires solid understanding of Google Cloud Platform services, data engineering processes, and project governance, without requiring deep hands‑on architecture responsibilities.

• Lead end-to-end project execution and ensure timely delivery of Google Cloud Platform-based data initiatives.
• Drive project planning, task prioritization, sprint execution, and risk management.
• Facilitate requirement gathering, clarification, and solution discussions with stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, track milestones, and provide regular status updates to client and leadership.
• Ensure compliance with project governance, quality standards, and documentation processes.

• Act as the primary point of contact for client teams and business users.
• Collaborate closely with onsite and offshore teams to ensure smooth delivery, handoffs, and communication.
• Manage expectations, address blockers, and coordinate cross-functional discussions.

• Provide guidance on Google Cloud Platform best practices related to data engineering workflows, pipelines, and operations.
• Support teams in implementing ETL/ELT, batch, and streaming processes on Google Cloud Platform.
• Review technical deliverables for quality, performance, and alignment with project needs.
• Oversee aspects of data governance, data quality, and security compliance within project scope.
• Ensure proper usage of Google Cloud Platform services such as Big Query, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, and Dataplex at a project level (no deep architectural design required).

• Working knowledge of key Google Cloud Platform services:
  Big Query (SQL, optimization basics), Dataflow (batch/streaming pipelines), Cloud Composer (Airflow orchestration), Dataplex (governance, cataloging).
• Good understanding of data engineering workflows, ETL/ELT processes, and data lifecycle.
• Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with Python.
• Knowledge of IAM concepts and security best practices in cloud environments.
• Exposure to reporting tools like Power BI is a plus.

• 6 years of IT experience with strong background in project or program management.
• 3 years of hands‑on exposure working with Google Cloud Platform-based data initiatives (not necessarily as an architect).
• Experience managing onsite/offshore delivery models.
• Proven ability to coordinate technical teams and manage large-scale data projects.

• Google Cloud Platform Associate or Professional-level certification (Data Engineer or Cloud Engineer preferred).
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Exposure to Azure data services is an added advantage.
