Travel School Occupational Therapist - Westerly, Rhode

Requirements

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A skilled Occupational Therapist is needed for a travel position in a school setting located in Westerly, Rhode Island. This opportunity involves supporting students' developmental needs through therapeutic interventions designed to enhance their ability to participate fully in educational activities.

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students based on individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other therapists to develop and implement appropriate treatment plans.
• Assess students’ motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities.
• Document therapy sessions, progress notes, and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to support student success.

• Valid Occupational Therapist licensure in Rhode Island or eligibility to obtain.
• Experience working in school-based occupational therapy settings.
• Strong knowledge of pediatric therapy strategies and educational accommodations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse student needs.

Westerly, Rhode Island (Travel position)

Compensation ranges from $38.66 to $58.66 per hour. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
