Family Pride Private Home Care is seeking a motivated and compassionate Area Care Manager to support our growing presence in South West Rhode Island. This is a hybrid leadership and caregiving role, ideal for an experienced CNA, HHA, or PCA who is looking to grow into a management position while continuing to provide hands‑on care.
This role combines direct client care (approximately 70%) with care coordination, scheduling, caregiver supervision, and local business development (30%). The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment.
Key Responsibilities Client Care (Primary – ~70%)- Provide high‑quality personal care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Support clients with mobility, transfers, and safety (including use of equipment as needed)
- Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and companionship
- Monitor and report changes in client condition
- Support clients with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or other cognitive conditions
- Assist with scheduling and shift coverage within assigned area
- Support onboarding and supervision of caregivers in the field
- Conduct client and caregiver check‑ins to ensure quality and satisfaction
- Help coordinate care plans and communicate updates with office team
- Participate in community outreach and relationship‑building efforts
- CNA, HHA, or PCA certification (required)
- Previous home care or healthcare experience required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and problem‑solve in the field
- Comfortable balancing caregiving with administrative responsibilities
- Experience with dementia or memory care preferred
- Open availability (including days, evenings, and weekends as needed)
- Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel throughout South West Rhode Island
- Ability to assist with lifting and mobility support as needed
- Total compensation package: $55,000 – $70,000 annually
- Base hourly pay for caregiving hours
