Operations Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and highly organized Supply Chain Planner to support our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for ensuring material availability, coordinating production schedules, managing outbound logistics, and supporting purchasing activities. The ideal candidate has strong experience in manufacturing environments, is comfortable working within MRP systems, and excels in cross‑functional communication.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & Inventory Control:
- Identify material shortages using a rolling monthly backlog and collaborate with Purchasing and Management to mitigate supply risks.
- Track open material orders from expected vendor delivery, through receiving and inspection to support monthly shipments and critical WIP requirements.
- Communicate to team and management critical part shortages that will jeopardize ship schedule.
- Receive materials into the MRP system and prepare items for incoming inspection.
- Release work orders in alignment with the production plan.
- Work closely with management to understand production lead times and maintain proper WIP levels.
Purchasing Support
- Procure shop consumables, chemicals, shipping supplies, and facility cleaning materials. Additional support may be asked depending on business needs.
- Ensure timely replenishment of essential production and facility items.
Logistics & Shipping
- Manage and coordinate all outbound domestic freight operations, including UPS, Fed Ex, and freight carriers.
- Collaborate closely with Packaging to prepare outgoing shipments.
- Generate and manage government‑regulated UID (Unique Identification) labels.
- Coordinate weekly and monthly shipments with Manufacturing and Shipping teams.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
- Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- 3-5 years experience of MRP systems (navigation, data entry, work orders, material transactions).
- Knowledge of domestic shipping processes (UPS, Fed Ex, freight).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Effective time & prioritization management.
- Successful at adapting to and managing change.

Salaried - Salary Minimum: $75,000
- Salary Maximum: $90,000
