You will provide exceptional patient care in collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other physicians to deliver anesthesia for medical and surgical procedures. You will cultivate a patient‑centric environment focusing on the whole individual, inclusive of physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and functional needs.
$60,000 Sign‑on Bonus available.

- Implement accurate, safe, patient‑centric anesthetic care.
- Understand physiological implications and anesthetic considerations of surgical procedures, continuously monitor vital signs, capnography, and pulse oximetry in accordance with ASA guidelines.
- Ensure appropriate documentation within hospital and regulatory requirements and protect patient information.
- Demonstrate high standard of moral and ethical behavior, professionalism, compassion, and commitment to patient care.
- Continuously engage in projects that maintain and advance professional competency.
- Respond to on‑call emergencies and provide anesthesia services within the hospital setting.
- Maintain availability on off‑shifts, weekends, and holidays as part of the in‑house call rotation.
Education
- Completion of an accredited Certified Nurse Anesthetist Training Program.
- Current State of Connecticut Nursing License, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure in Connecticut.
Experience
- Preferred clinical experience as a CRNA within the specialty/service line.
- Required to be appointed to the Affiliated Medical Staff of a YNHHS Hospital and credentialed through the medical staff process.
Licensure and Certifications
- American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) certification.
- State of CT RN and APRN license.
- ACLS, DEA registration, and State of CT controlled substance registration.

- Sharp concentration, calm under stressful conditions, effective communication with surgeons, surgical team, patients, and families.
- Immediate and responsive anesthetic patient management; flexibility and adaptability.
Physical Demand
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and move patients between anesthesia locations.
- Vision, hearing adequate; no impairment of smell or tactile sensation.
- Motor skills sufficient to elicit pertinent information and manage equipment.
