Hallmark Field Merchandiser; part-time Westerly, RI

Job Overview

As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and be the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally, you may work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.

• Starting hourly pay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
• Paid training delivered through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom sessions.

• Position is part‑time with a variable schedule throughout the work week.
• Average weekly hours: 12‑14 hours per week.
• Availability prior to and after major holidays, including weekends, is required.
• Availability to support seasonal changes, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

• Use a mobile device provided by Hallmark to restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside the Hallmark department. Employ technology for daily work, communication with the supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required merchandising activities.
• Provide professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers. Manage the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Work around holidays such as Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, which may require additional days, extended hours, or working on the actual holiday.
• Assist with installations, relocations, and resetting of Hallmark fixtures and card departments. Typically notified two weeks in advance and may include evenings or weekends.
• Support other field merchandising professionals as needed within the network of merchandisers.

This physically demanding role requires a high level of energy and urgency. You will work on the sales floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the workday and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You must kneel, squat, walk, stand, and, when required, climb stairs or stairlifts.

• At least 18 years of age.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English.
• Ability to lift and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Capability to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
• Reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
