Marina Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Marina Service Technician to join our team in Westerly, RI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on a variety of marine vessels and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on boats, engines, and marina equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and provide effective solutions.
• Assist with launching, hauling, and winterizing boats as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of service and repairs performed.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with marina staff and customers to provide excellent service and support.
• Operate marina equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and trailers safely and efficiently.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in marine mechanics preferred.
• Proven experience in marine service, repair, or related mechanical work.
• Strong knowledge of marine engines, electrical systems, and hydraulics.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate marina equipment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

This position involves working in a marina setting with exposure to outdoor elements, including water, weather, and marine equipment. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects are required.
