Long-Term Substitute Teacher – Spanish/Business (Middle School)

McClure Junior High School

Western Springs School District 101 is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Teacher to teach Spanish (5 sections) and Business/Entrepreneurship (1 section) at the middle school level. This position will cover a leave of absence and is expected to run from January 26, 2026 through March 12, 2026.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering engaging instruction in middle school Spanish and introductory Business concepts.
• Following established curriculum, lesson plans, and pacing guides.
• Creating a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment.
• Assessing student progress and providing feedback as appropriate.
• Collaborating with grade-level teams and support staff.
• Maintaining clear communication with students, staff, and administration.

Qualifications:

• Professional Educator License with middle school endorsement or Substitute Teacher license.
• Experience working with middle school students preferred.
• Background or coursework in Spanish and/or Business strongly preferred.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Additional Information:
This is a full-time, temporary position for the duration of the assignment.

Compensation: $170/Day.
