Rehab Services Technician

Illinois Bone & Joint Institute (IBJI)

Location:

Western Springs, IL

Job Type: Part‑time (20 hours per week)

Job Summary

As a Rehabilitation Technician at IBJI, you will support the orthopedic team with both clinical care and clinic operations. You’ll contribute to patient treatment, maintenance of the clinic environment, and the overall success of the practice.

Essential Duties
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication to therapy patients, therapists, physician staff, and clients in a fast‑paced orthopedic rehab office.
  • Daily clinic maintenance: cleaning treatment tables and equipment, changing linen, and stocking supplies.
  • Keep exercise equipment orderly and out of the way of patients to maintain safe conditions.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checks to stay compliant with IBJI guidelines.
  • Assist therapists and clinicians with exercise programs, equipment setup, and modalities.
  • Communicate observations to therapists during patient exercise programs and take initiative in assisting clinicians with patient care.
  • Print home exercise programs for patients under the direction of the clinician.
  • Maintain inventory of clinical and non‑clinical materials.
  • If the clinic utilizes techs for front desk support, perform clerical duties such as checking in patients, scheduling appointments, taking co‑pays, scanning, and answering the phone.
  • Provide daily support to the rehab staff and management team.
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines by protecting patient identity.
  • Work with patients regardless of diagnosis, age, or background.
  • Maintain a positive attitude in clinic.
  • Demonstrate professionalism with punctual attendance and flexibility with established work hours.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required.
  • Available to work 20 hours per week.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • Detail oriented with effective time management.
  • Professional and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Skilled in Windows, MS Office, and email access.
Compensation

Salary: $15 hourly
