The Village of Western Springs is seeking a dynamic and experienced Training and Safety Officer to lead the Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) robust training programs, champion safety compliance, and drive operational excellence across all aspects of fire and emergency services. This key leadership position plays a vital role in strengthening the readiness, resilience, and professionalism of our personnel while advancing our commitment to community protection and both interdepartment and inter-agency collaboration.

The Training and Safety Officer is a full-time, non-sworn administrative position within the Department, working a 37.5-hour week. Reporting directly to the Deputy Chief, this role serves as a key member of the Fire Chief’s senior command staff, contributing to strategic leadership and operational excellence.

The full salary range for this position is $68,840- $104,304, hiring range is dependent upon qualifications. The Village offers a competitive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and life insurance.
