Third Key Holder, Retail

Job Summary

The Third Key Holder reports to the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager, opening and closing the store, serving customers, and ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable operations while upholding Hollywood Feed’s policy: "Do what is right by the customer."

• Arrive prior to opening and stay after closing to prepare the store for business operations.
• Assume managerial responsibilities in the event of management absences.
• Greet and assist customers following Hollywood Feed’s customer service standards.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of store products to address the needs of pets and customers.
• Maintain open and respectful communication with supervisors and coworkers.
• Work efficiently independently and as part of a team, providing support and training to new employees.
• Have open and weekend availability, including closing 3 nights per week.
• Unload and properly stock product deliveries.
• Operate the Hollywood Feed point‑of‑sale system, including opening and closing registers, creating customer accounts, processing transactions, and performing inventory management tasks such as cycle counts.
• Participate in all scheduled Hollywood Feed educational sessions.
• Complete routine weekly store maintenance, including restroom cleaning, sweeping, mopping, dusting, setting up displays, updating prices, and related duties.
• Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.

• Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
• Proven sales and customer service abilities.
• Knowledge of store products or ability to learn quickly.
• Ability to operate or learn the point‑of‑sale system.
• Valid driver’s license with at least two years of driving experience (including learner’s permit period).

• Must be 18 or older.
• Able to lift 50 lbs. overhead and repeatedly stock shelves.
• Can bend, kneel, push, pull, reach, and twist frequently.
• Able to stand and walk for 8–10 hours.
• Can climb ladders often to access products.
• Meet Safe Driving Policy and be willing to drive company delivery vehicles.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

$15.50/hr to $19/hr.
