Roush Auto Group is seeking an Automotive Shop Caddy to support our Facilities & Maintenance team in a fast-paced dealership environment. In this role, you'll keep service bays, tools, and common areas organized, clean, and safe to ensure technicians can work efficiently. Responsibilities include parts and tool staging, basic shop cleanup, fluid and waste handling within guidelines, and assisting with minor facility upkeep.
You'll work closely with technicians and advisors, supporting a customer-first culture. This entry-level position offers on-the-job training, exposure to multiple brands, and potential career growth within our Central Ohio locations.
Responsibilities
- Safely move customer and inventory vehicles to and from service bays, parking areas, and wash bays
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe shop and service area, including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal
- Organize tools, equipment, and supplies, returning items to proper storage locations
- Assist with stocking and organizing parts, fluids, and general shop supplies
- Support facilities staff with light building and grounds tasks as directed
- Follow all dealership and safety procedures, including use of proper protective equipment
- Perform basic vehicle checks when requested, such as verifying fuel levels or noting visible damage
- Assist technicians and service staff with general shop support tasks to keep workflow moving efficiently
- Communicate clearly with technicians, service advisors, and managers regarding task status and any issues identified
- Provide friendly, professional interactions with coworkers and, when needed, with customers
Required Skills
- Safe vehicle operation (manual and automatic transmissions)
- Basic shop and facilities maintenance
- Cleaning and sanitation of shop environments
- Inventory stocking and organization
- Basic understanding of automotive service workflow
- Use of hand tools and basic shop equipment
- Adherence to safety procedures and PPE use
- Time management and task prioritization
- Basic communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work outdoors and on feet for extended periods
