You'll be working closely within an adult transition program, focusing primarily on assisting students on the autism spectrum, helping them achieve greater independence and success.

Qualifications:
  • Prior experience as a paraprofessional or in a related support role within school settings
  • Demonstrated ability to work empathetically with adolescents and young adults, particularly those with autism
  • Commitment to completing all mandatory, specialized school trainings before the first day
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, therapists, and families
  • Reliability and a genuine interest in fostering inclusive classroom experiences
Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized and group support to students in the adult transition program
  • Assist with daily classroom activities, vocational training, and community integration
  • Collaborate with special education teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Monitor and record student progress, sharing insights with the broader educational team
  • Encourage social, academic, and life skills development-help students build confidence and independence
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
