Position: Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) | Westerville, Ohio
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired for the  school year. This full-time, onsite role involves working with a diverse caseload of 8-10 students, predominantly at the elementary level, with the potential to work with middle or high schoolers as new students qualify. You will collaborate across multiple locations, offering both direct and consultative support to help learners achieve their educational goals.

Your expertise and compassion can make a significant impact in a role that encourages growth-for both students and educators. You'll be instrumental in shaping accessible learning experiences and ensuring every child's success.

Qualifications &

Experience:
  • Hold a current, active TVI (Teacher for the Visually Impaired) certification.
  • Experience working with students who are visually impaired, preferably in school settings.
  • Familiarity with developing, implementing, and documenting IEP-driven services.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and educators.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Skilled in providing both direct services and consultative support.
Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct instruction and consultation according to each student's IEP.
  • Attend meetings related to student progress and educational planning as needed.
  • Provide indirect (non-contact) services, including thorough documentation, reporting, and communication related to IEP activities.
  • Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet individual student needs across multiple sites.
  • Serve as a resource for staff and families on best practices in visual impairment education.
