Adjunct Clinical Faculty Positions
Otterbein University, Department of Nursing is seeking applications for individuals to serve as adjunct (part-time) clinical faculty as need arises for the academic year (August – May) in Pediatric Nursing, Mother-Infant Nursing, High Acuity Nursing, and Medical/Surgical Nursing. The availability of these positions is dependent on operational needs including enrollment and staffing. If a need arises, the department will select candidates from this posting.
ResponsibilitiesThese individuals will provide instruction to undergraduate nursing students in relation to BSN program objectives, including (1) planning and supervising student clinical learning experiences, (2) assessing student progress, (3) intentional communication with the Course Coordinator, (4) recording and reporting as required by the Department of Nursing, and (5) attending meetings. These positions will have responsibilities that require the successful candidates to be on campus in Westerville, Ohio for hiring, orientation, and course meetings, and on site at clinical placement facilities located in central Ohio.
These positions are hired for about 8 hours per week for 16 weeks per semester and may be day or evening shifts depending on placements given to us by our clinical partners.

Compensation is a salaried rate for each semester commensurate with highest achieved nursing degree. All applicants must apply online and attach the required documents:

Offers for positions as adjunct clinical instructor are contingent on successful completion of Department of Nursing health requirements, including, but not limited to, (1) proof of compliance for up-to-date immunizations/vaccines, (2) proof of AHA BLS certification (CPR), (3) a background check, and (4) receipt of an official transcript of highest nursing degree if not earned from Otterbein University.
