Job Description

We are seeking an Environmental Scientist with at least 2 years of experience to support environmental due diligence, site assessment, and industrial hygiene projects. This role will primarily focus on conducting Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), asbestos inspections and surveys, field investigations, and environmental compliance support for commercial, industrial, municipal, and redevelopment projects. The ideal candidate is comfortable with both field and office responsibilities, enjoys investigative work, and has experience preparing technical reports and interacting with clients and regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

+ Perform field data collection for environmental investigations.

+ Collect and compile environmental data from samples of soil, water, and other materials for analysis.

+ Collect and document field data in accordance with project plans.

+ Coordinate laboratory sample submittals and maintain chain of custody.

+ Interpret analytical results and compare to regulatory standards.

+ Prepare technical sections of Phase I & II ESA reports.

+ Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations.

Essential Skills

+ Environmental site assessment experience.

+ Proficiency in conducting Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.

+

Experience with asbestos surveys.

+ Strong technical writing skills.

+ Environmental engineering knowledge.

+ Stream evaluation skills.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in environmental science, geology, or related field.

+ 2+ years of relevant Phase I & II ESA work experience.

+ 2+ years of asbestos survey experience.

+ Team player with effective internal and external communication skills.

+ Proficiency in MS Office applications.

+ Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and expereince check.

+ Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance.

+ Ability to work in variable conditions, including uneven ground and access to remote sites.

+ Ability to routinely lift varying weights from 10-50 pounds.

+ OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus.

Work Environment

This position involves a 50/50 split between fieldwork and office work. Benefits include profit sharing for full-time employees, holiday bonuses, and access to company vehicles.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westerville, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
