Project Execution Finance Analyst
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Project Execution Finance Analyst will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of various projects for non-GSA projects. This role entails analyzing project financial performance and providing insights into supporting decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a challenging environment. The Project Execution Financial Analyst will collaborate closely with various teams throughout the business including Finance, Accounting, and Project Execution teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Financial Planning and Analysis
- Monitor financial performance against established budgets and escalate discrepancies.
- Analyze financial performance and trends to make recommendations to improve margins and reduce costs.
- Monitor project expenditures and report out trends.
- Track and report cost overruns.
- Compliance and Auditing
- Ensure projects adhere to financial policies, regulations, and accounting standards.
- Assists with internal and external audits.
- Supports project closure based on internal closure guidelines.
- Forecasting and Risk Management
- Identifies potential risks and opportunities and makes Project Managers and the management team aware.
- Provide monthly reporting on project financials.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years' financial analytical or accounting experience
- Minimum of two years of experience in financial analysis or accounting.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Software Proficiency (Smartsheet, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Suite, Power Bi).
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Ability to pull together and summarize large amounts of data into concise explanations.
EDUCATION AND
CERTIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
