Project Execution Finance Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Project Execution Finance Analyst will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of various projects for non-GSA projects. This role entails analyzing project financial performance and providing insights into supporting decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a challenging environment. The Project Execution Financial Analyst will collaborate closely with various teams throughout the business including Finance, Accounting, and Project Execution teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Financial Planning and Analysis
• Monitor financial performance against established budgets and escalate discrepancies.
• Analyze financial performance and trends to make recommendations to improve margins and reduce costs.
• Monitor project expenditures and report out trends.
• Track and report cost overruns.
• Compliance and Auditing
• Ensure projects adhere to financial policies, regulations, and accounting standards.
• Assists with internal and external audits.
• Supports project closure based on internal closure guidelines.
• Forecasting and Risk Management
• Identifies potential risks and opportunities and makes Project Managers and the management team aware.
• Provide monthly reporting on project financials.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years' financial analytical or accounting experience
• Minimum of two years of experience in financial analysis or accounting.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Software Proficiency (Smartsheet, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Suite, Power Bi).
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Ability to pull together and summarize large amounts of data into concise explanations.

EDUCATION AND

CERTIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
