SCCM Engineer

Seeking an SCCM Engineer to work for a client in Westerville, OH. This is a 3 to 6 month contract with potential for extension. This role will be worked in a hybrid environment- with 3 days a week worked onsite, and 2 days a week worked remotely. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale enterprise systems using SCCM.

Responsibilities include designing and deploying SCCM infrastructure, maintaining and upgrading the SCCM infrastructure, creating and managing SCCM configurations, and troubleshooting and resolving SCCM-related issues.

• Design and implement the SCCM infrastructure to manage large-scale enterprise systems
• Maintain the SCCM infrastructure, ensuring that it is up-to-date and running smoothly
• Perform regular upgrades and maintenance tasks, including patching and security updates
• Create, deploy, and manage SCCM configurations for different systems and applications, ensuring that all configurations are up-to-date and compliant with industry standards
• Identify and resolve SCCM-related issues, including application installation failures, configuration issues, and network connectivity problems
• Document SCCM-related procedures and configurations
• Prepare reports and metrics to track system performance and compliance
• Work closely with other IT teams, including security, network, and application teams, to ensure that SCCM configurations are integrated and compatible with other systems
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, evaluating their potential impact on SCCM operations, and making recommendations for their implementation

Qualifications include 7+ years of IT experience with at least 5 years of experience in SCCM infrastructure design, deployment, and maintenance. Strong technical knowledge of SCCM architecture, deployment, and management is required. Proficiency in scripting languages like Power Shell is needed. Strong understanding of Windows operating systems, network protocols, and security standards is also required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.

Familiarity with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V, is a plus. A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field is preferred. SCCM certification is preferred.
