Labor And Delivery Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum within a hospital setting. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and support throughout the childbirth process.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ health status and develop individualized care plans for labor and delivery.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs to detect any complications.
• Administer medications and anesthesia as prescribed, ensuring safe practices.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to coordinate patient care and prepare for delivery.
• Educate patients and their families on labor processes, postpartum care, and newborn care.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient interactions accurately.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid registered nurse (RN) license and current CPR certification.
• Possess clinical experience in labor and delivery or maternal-newborn nursing.
• Demonstrate strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Exhibit excellent communication and patient advocacy abilities.
• Be able to work night shifts and adapt to varying staffing needs.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations.
