Traveling Asbestos Abatement-Field Service Technician

Clean Harbors seeks a Traveling Asbestos Abatement-Field Service Technician II to support environmental and industrial clients. In this role, you'll travel to various sites to perform asbestos removal, setup containment areas, and safely handle hazardous materials in compliance with regulations. You'll operate specialized equipment, complete detailed documentation, and work closely with project leaders to ensure safety and quality. Ideal candidates bring field experience, strong safety awareness, and willingness to travel extensively while supporting critical environmental protection work.

Responsibilities

• Perform asbestos abatement and removal at client sites following federal, state, and local regulations
• Set up and maintain containment areas, negative air systems, and decontamination units
• Collect, handle, and package hazardous materials for proper transport and disposal
• Operate field service tools and equipment safely and efficiently
• Complete job documentation, logs, and regulatory paperwork accurately
• Inspect work areas to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
• Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, and client representatives on-site
• Participate in safety meetings, training, and emergency response drills
