Custom Concrete is seeking a detail‑oriented and reliable Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join our Accounting team. This position is responsible for cash application, AR aging, collections, lien processing, and communication with internal and external stakeholders across multiple entities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, accountable, and thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Post and reconcile daily deposits (checks and ACH) across multiple bank accounts and entities.
- Apply production builder payments and resolve unapplied cash within required time frames.
- Review and process credit applications within 24 hours; maintain credit approval tracking.
- Lead weekly AR aging reviews and provide notes, status updates, and follow‑ups.
- Send monthly customer statements and follow up on invoices aged over 45 days.
- Maintain lien tracker; prepare preliminary notices and mechanic’s liens with proper approvals.
- Generate weekly collections and past‑due reports for all entities.
- Maintain AR client portals; process credit card payments when applicable.
- Partner with Project Managers and Coordinators to resolve issues impacting collections.
- Complete AR clean‑up projects and archival of historical documents.
- 2+ years of Accounts Receivable experience (construction industry preferred).
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Quick Books Desktop.
- Knowledge of mechanic’s lien timelines and preliminary notices (or willingness to learn).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organization, follow‑through, and communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
