Vaco Indianapolis has partnered with a client on the north side of Carmel in search of an AP & Payroll Specialist. This is a full time, direct hire opportunity working fully onsite.
Key Responsibilities- Process vendor invoices, including coding, matching, obtaining approvals, and resolving discrepancies with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and execute payment runs, including checks, ACH transactions, and other approved disbursements.
- Maintain accurate vendor records for W‑9 forms and supporting documentation.
- Assist with annual 1099 preparation and filing requirements.
- Monitor accounts payable aging, reconcile vendor statements, and support month‑end closing activities.
- Process weekly payroll accurately and on schedule, including payroll tax reporting and compliance activities.
- Review employee timecards, validate payroll data, and assist with payroll audits as needed.
- Track and document employee attendance, call‑ins, and absences.
- Prepare payroll‑related journal entries and support account reconciliations.
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive company information.
The salary range for this role is indicated in this posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and may participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
